My spouse has come to US recently and is in H4. She is applying religiously for jobs but not getting any calls. She has 7+ years of experience in India as a python developer. Could you guys help with referrals or do you think she should do her masters? My green card processing will start next month! So she has to wait for 2 more years. Is there any work around as she is okay to do unpaid tech jobs until she gets work authorisation
I can refer her at Vanguard, at Vanguard they dont take H1s but they will take H4 visa holders can give her referral. But vanguard is not remote philly, charlotte, dallas and Arizona.
Only take H4 + EAD? So Vanguard doesn't have tech attorneys. That's why I think.
It's not legal to work until she gets an EAD on H4 after your I-140 is approved.
Masters is the only option or wait for your I-140 approval.
Do you have your I-140 approved for her to have H4 EAD? If not, she is not authorized to work and will not get calls. Even in the first call, recruiters ask about work authorization. She can do only volunteering work, not paid, like teaching etc. I’m not sure about that in tech space.
PhD + adjunct Professor is the safest path.
