I'm wondering if these tech layoffs and freezing will affect retail. Amazon, walmart, Kroger, Meijer, kohl's etc Anyone have any insight?
Won’t be long. No one will be immune
They do it after the holiday season. Need to support systems during peak holiday season Thanksgiving and Christmas.
They tend to wait post holidays. Overstock just had one.
Probably. Albertsons is gobbling them up
Usually does. Kroger is about due for some layoffs right after the holidays. Last one was end of 2019/beginning of 2020. They’ve been gradually hiring offshore IT the past 5+ years. Whatever Boston Consulting Group says the board should do regarding the direction of the company, is gladly met with compliance.
Kroger is hiring design and PM like wildfire still
Yes, I predict this will happen on Thanksgiving
