Many of us find ourselves trapped in the endless loop of the corporate rat race, tirelessly striving to become the focal point, the ultimate winner within our workplaces. Yet, a nagging question lingers: If we can't shine as the brightest stars in our current roles, what makes us believe that stepping away from the corporate world will lead us to success? The truth is, leaving the company doesn't exempt us from competition; it merely introduces us to a larger, more diverse rat race outside the corporate boundaries. So, why do we still harbor the hope that a future beyond the conventional path holds more promise? Should we prove ourselves first before leaving? Fix all weaknesses while we still get decent pay? Apparently, I don't have a clear answer. #engineering #software #career
There are two ways out that I see. You either make enough money that you semi-retire and just do what you want to do. Or you come to the conclusion that there are more important things in life and as long as you have some base amount of income you don’t need to stress yourself to try to earn more. I’ve always targeted the first way. Make a shit ton of money, get burned out and then semi-retire and do something else.
I say the best way to win is become your own boss by starting your own company and hope it's successful
