Currently team matching with Meta, how is the TAO team working on unified caching under TA? Looking for insights in terms of technical challenges, impact, wlb, growth opportunities, oncall, etc?
What does T stand for in TAO?
You must be joking. I saw Zuck's video on Tao where A stands for Association and O for Objects. I think T for THE would be stupid but never saw any official elaboration for this.
Yoe? Thoughts on joining Lyft now, was reached out for interview
10+. It's not a good time to join Lyft imo, future is uncertain and there's potential for more layoffs.
One of the biggest data systems globally. You will learn a ton but forget about wlb, at least for a year. On-call in infra is usually heavy duty. Opportunity is there, but you need to find an area of interest. I suggest setting down with the team for a week and doing some tasks to get an idea.
There's no more bootcamp, everyone is pre-allocated to a team
Not sure about growth but you'll learn a lot. What's your level? All of the axes you described depend on your level
