Magic Leap SWE leveling
If I understand correctly, the SWE levels are: eng, Sr. eng., Lead eng., Principal eng., and then the managerial roles like mgr., Sr. mgr., Director, Sr. Director, VP. Can some Magic Leap folks shed some light on the expectations/responsibilities per engineer levels? How do they relate to more known levels like Googl/Meta? Titles are a bit inflated. Great Sr directors in ML mapped to Directors in Meta and Amazon. Interestingly enough many of the people who went to apple, upleveled when joining. There will be leads that don't lead individuals, it's just a title. In terms of compensation look at levels.fyi for Google and go two levels down. What's nice about it is it has got a chill culture and no PIPs that I am aware of except the snap of thanos 2 years ago that I am sure you know about. Your list of leveling hierarchies is correct by the way.

:) the ultimate question under every ML post. They actually just raised 500M end of last year, and had some impressive demos of ML2 earlier this month.
