My previous manager just left this new year with my two peers to follow. I was not able to rotate out because my partner and I were hoping to move out of state. I was left without a real transition plan (skip did not follow my previous manager’s plan) and they have yet to fully backfill the positions for my team. A new person started, but they have been unable to do any relevant work since I need to train them on top of doing all three roles jobs. The new person has no experience in this field and neither does the new manager (starting later this month) so I am unable to get the support I need. My skip has traditionally hired everyone from their old company to work in this overarching team and has slowly integrated the same hiring as of late. My forte feedback was positive from all cross functional members and peers, besides my skip (interim manager). They have informed me that I will be getting a dev plan when my new manager starts.
