Why do people say Parag making 40m is better than Elon losing 40B? Scrubdaddy CEO makes 70M šŸ¤·

Definitely Elon won here Elon lost 30b. 1) But he got users. 2) he now owns a social media network and a actual software product (Tesla, solar city and spaceX has hardware aspects to it. Tesla still has lot of AI issues, next 10 rocket failures can make spaceX to different level). 2) He can again say something like dogecoin is next big thing or Twitter wil accept crypto and make money out of it.(he is know for such things). 3) he can become more evil than Facebook as now he had peopleā€™s data, behavior, location etc. 4) he can solely influence a platform on several get topics. 6) if Elon could turn around a tech company with his style of running, it might become new culture (but a tough culture) on how to run efficient and be cruel to employees (literally kike how Steve Jobs was reason for several Apple employees divorce). 5) already his car competitors are no where close to teslaā€™s product. he can literally crush them ā€œmoreā€ by using this platform. And itā€™s a private company now. I donā€™t think govt can interfere much now. (Or may be Iā€™m wrong). If Twitter does something like Cambridge analytics issue, Iā€™m not sure how easy it is to drill Elon for 8+ hours in front of bozos who donā€™t know tech. Parag just made 40 million. Thatā€™s nothing in tech and valley. Iā€™m no where near Paragā€™s brilliance or achievements. He got into IIT. He got into Stanford. He did PhD and I heard from articles his thesis paper was awesome on those days(letā€™s say this is not true). He dodged a person like Elon and didnā€™t flinch. My point is, Iā€™m not demeaning Parag. But I donā€™t get when people say Parag made 40m while Elon lost 40B is stupid. Elon is clear winner here.

Mr. Madison, what you have just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I for one welcome this culture shift

T-Mobile mstc_arts Oct 28, 2022

First you have to have culture to shift šŸ˜‚

Let's say Elon uses that data from #3 for China/Russia/Trump/WWIII.

> 5) already his car competitors are no where close to teslaā€™s product. I think you arenā€™t paying attention to the auto industry right now.

Isnā€™t Tesla considered as most safest car by some testing agency and it was for 6 years in a row?

PayPal 9999999996 OP Oct 28, 2022

Their AI feature needs lot of improvement, but not sure if any other car manufacturer is close to Tesla on their AI features

Except that people will just move on to another social network once he makes it even more toxic. Twitter is not forever.

PayPal 9999999996 OP Oct 28, 2022

True. I feel overall people get bored after 7-10 years after using a same social media and something new keeps coming. Honestly for my 60 year old dad orkut is same as Facebook(features wise and may be few difference because of tech in MySpace days vs FB days). But end user donā€™t feel that. In social media , all you can do is, look for profiles, add them, chat with them, comment, follow or block. So new tide comes every ~10 years. I was into Quora a lot. Before that with yahoo Q &A and after a while I felt both wer shit. Now into Reddit. Iā€™m sure later it will also become dull.

Elon only lost 40B if twitter is worth $0..

Twitter stabbystab Oct 28, 2022

Parag made ā€œonlyā€ 40 mil in a matter of truly only about 10 months of work, so yeah, he won this one.
