Harassment at Adobe / Forter

I hope this post can help others not be in the same situation I was in. I was sexually harassed, bullied, and had a smear campaign ran against me during my time at Adobe. Adobe uses a third party fraud vendor called Forter. An exec from Forter sexually harassed me on multiple occasions and tried stealing a large sum of money from me. He made up a fake business and repeatedly bothered me to wire him $200k to invest in it. No contract, I was not allowed to speak to this business, just demanded over and over again, that I wire him money to his personal bank account. I reported this to the CEO of Forter. Rather than doing anything about this, Forter decided it would be a good idea to run a smear campaign against me, to try to discredit everything they did. I provided solid written evidence of these claims to Adobe HR/ERC. I also had solid evidence in writing, Forter cheated out other vendors to get into Adobe. This was not the first time they cheated to beat other vendors. I also had proof they have done this at other businesses, multiple times in the past. HR never did a damn thing about any of this. They claim to be "investigating", this was many months ago. Good job Adobe, you must be the only company on the planet that would sit with written proof of sexual harassment, money stealing and cheating and not do anything about it. Great job following your company core values. #adobe #magento #metoo

HR only protects company not the employees that have a problem.

Lawyer up. Don’t wait around for HR.

I get the urge to hit back in kind semi-anonymously on Blind. But you’re better off keeping this between you and your lawyer and suing.

Thankyou for speaking out. It takes courage to do so. Keep your proofs with you and take legal course. Not so long ago, I was harrassed because I had to move my paternity leave up due to complications of my wife pregnancy and a planned surgery of my new born right after. I had mentioned about the situation briefly to the manager earlier as well. Despite that I was sent a show-cause email for not sticking with the (tentative) schedule I provided 3 months back. Not only the harasser was saved, I was threatened for pip after I raised this to n+1. This is the truth of Adobe. Btw, I am an SWE. I can understand how rotten the underbelly would be in procurement, sales and other departments. Employee friendly - my f***ing ass.

what was the point of wasting time on sexual harrasment training then when they won't do anything. Oh god this was unexpected

Salesforce peace-out Nov 15, 2021

It's not about training time.. it's very basic human value. Incidents of sexual and mental harassment only shows that company cares more about bad-press, not the bad culture.

If you want to go public, tweet this at Adobe Care. We have people nervously watching that account 24/7

Adobe's diversity, employee friendliness is a PR stunt. Not all is bad/rotten but the perception of being an awesome company is the top priority for Adobe. I see discrimination of the unprovable kinds meted out regularly and then leadership will focus on inclusion to cover their ass. Discrimination and politics is easily felt but difficult to make a case against. Sad that Adobe didn't act above. Hope you are treated better.

Adobe coolschool Nov 15, 2021

I absolutely agree with this! I think most companies' aggressive messaging about diversity is a PR stunt and perception game, nothing more. Same for Adobe.

Adobe Hkm Nov 15, 2021

Mostly agree with you.. Adobe treats Bangalore & Noida teams as second class - then turns around and preaches diversity. It's shameful, and honestly feels culty

Adobe fu3000 Nov 15, 2021

How'd that person go about trying steal your money after sexually harassing you on multiple occasions. It seems you had many chances to stop this person but rather you didn't.

I had reported multiple similar instances to very senior levels. I was told "To ignore and keep it about performance". Well sure enough they were right, I had written proof of EVERYTHING and Adobe has not done anything, but continue to "investigate".
