For those of you who tinker with their cars, how far do you go? I personally changed all 4 brake pads π¨βπ§π TC: McLaren 570 GT
Engine head gaskets on a V6, followed by the slightly less difficult (!) heater core replacement.
Replaced rear window regulator. Replaced radiator. Full brake fluid & transmission flush. Rebuilt drum brakes.
I once replaced the blinker fluid.
I did muffler bearings in school once.
I changed navigation belt
Took the Rubicon offroading, while maneuvering a big Boulder the suspension came off from one side. Had to solder it in the wilderness. Luckily we were prepared and had the equipment and experienced guys to help.spare 4x4s as well.
Solder? Do you mean weld? Also how did you get power in the middle of nowhere?
Luckily we had gear. A generator too. The other vehicle was a RAM, used it to get the wrangler out of the ditch
Filled tire with air to 32 psi
By blowing in it??
ππ Nah, using a tire pump.
I changed my wipers
One time I wiped my feet before entering in order to prevent mud from getting on the carpets while my driver held the door open for me.
I once put gas by myself
Replaced the head gasket on my Miata. It isnβt too difficult and these engines are pretty simple.
Catback exhaust. Decided not to finish the turboback but wouldβve hired someone for the install+tune anyways, working under the car without a lift fucking sucks.
