The engineering culture is horrible. You can get fired just for speaking up. It is up to the cranky CTO. Lot of internal politics. Many people who don't code, sitting in engineering. Lot of people give some excuse and do not work. Engineering bosses just need more numbers to report to them. Bosses do not understand management. A meeting is called to plan a project which ends with no plan. The product is very bad quality. They have production outage every day. Engineers do not know how to control. The code is very bad quality. I wonder how they hired all these idiots in SF office. The product is selling just because of Jyoti's name.

Does the same apply to Bangalore office as well? Thnx for the truth by the way. I sensed something like this during the interview itself. I am expecting an offer from them.

Don't join. I heard the pretty much same about Bangalore center

FileMaker Hawas Sep 22, 2019

I have applied to them and the recruiter always sets up a time with me but never calls.

I reported so many bugs to them and nothing really gets addressed. Their Custom Service tells me some workaround. One day all our department's deployments stopped working. We did not change anything. I was in call with their Custom Service for hours. I screamed YOU GUYS SUCK!!!!

^^ sounds like another troll above. We don’t even have a customer called “FileMaker”. I’ve been working there for several months now and the product provides a bridge between CI and eeeeeeverything else. You get a ton of experience touching lots of different products and technologies. This time next year every team will be doubled in size. I was the “new person” for 2 days. With Jyotis track record and the opportunity for equity there could be very promising outcomes

Read again! FileMaker never said she/he was a customer. She/He applied for a job at Harness and recruiter didn’t get back.

Same, heard negative about harness because of the work culture. People work extra hours without being compensated for the same.

True that

I sensed something is not right I the interview process when I spoke to the CTO, he seems to be cranky. Went to Atlassian life is much better here.

How much was the Harness offer? They are trying to downplay me, offering a lot of options on estimated very high value

Atlassian atlassiaan Apr 25, 2020

My offer was in Feb 2018. It was 150k base and 40,000 stock options. No bonus. What is their current offer?

Google dmnk86 Mar 7, 2020

Do you really need to work 12-15 hours a day there

Harness KToG61 Jun 30, 2020

Yes we are made to. You are always supposed to be available on slack. You are supposed to attend late night meetings and if you don't they call out your name in the public channels

That's what I've heard so far

Harness qCoX08 Mar 27, 2020

It’s a nightmare to work here. Dirty politics everyday.

Couchbase sf9ajpw Apr 10, 2020

Is this in Bangalore or US offices?

Harness oBta50 Jun 20, 2020

Since they are trying to build version 2 now , It has become even worst. No sleep for any devs.
