Has Atlassian ever had any layoffs? Did Atlassian have layoffs recently? Did Atlassian have layoffs during the pandemic in 2021? I noticed Atlassian is still aggressively hiring (according to their employees) when other companies are either laying off their employees or in a hiring freeze/slowdown. #tech #atlassian
Recently - No COVID - No Ever - Not to my knowledge
Question for you if you can answer. What’s the diversity like at Atlassian?
Probably pretty similar to most tech firms that try to be diverse. My team is mostly men, but racially very diverse. Our DEI initiatives are pretty serious here, so I feel like minorities have some resources if they need it.
New CFO coming through though
No layoff due to to company performance. But we have been doing PIP for long time. They fired bunch of managers as well. Once manager because unstable after that and he was shot in Fremont We are not as good as in terms of WLB
Ohh that's sad
Isn't WLB the number one thing you folks advertise
A few people got let go as part of Stride being shut down when it was clear we lost to Slack. Not much of a layoff, virtually all of the people on Stride got absorbed by other teams.
Very cool story! Atlassian sold it, got a piece of slack in exchange for slack adding insane integration with Atlassian products. Can this be called a win-win?
IDK if it was quite a win-win but it certainly was a much softer loss than it could have been.
Nah, that JIRA is still in the backlog.
