Have you/a friend/acquintance ever been reprimanded, warned, banned etc by Blind ? If yes, comment on how..official email,in app msg etc #apple #netflix #splunk #microsoft #oracle
Have been banned many times, you just get a message in the app and reminder that you are banned if you try to post.
I dont think Blind admins actually look at the flagged content. But multiple flags for a user gets them banned for a few weeks. Somebody someday will sue blind for restricting speech soon
Does that mean..a user can be intentionally flagged 10 times for no reason and that is enough to get a temp ban ?
For the millionth time... Social media platforms are private enterprises and not public forums. You're using resources, literally someone else's private property (their computers on their networks in the data centers on their bandwidth running their software) You have NO right to anything other than what they grant to you. Maybe the law will change someday, but no, you have zero freedom of speech on here or Facebook or any other platform.
Speech is not protected at a private company.
I think blind is pretty Ban-happy. I got 3 days of time out for answering someone who asked "how does xyz company make money" with the answer 🤷 it was actually a nice reminder to use blind less haha. Notified in the same way the others^ mention
Was ur answer public or a pvt msg ? Did it include profanity or plain-offensive-english ?
Lol the text was "they make money by selling x" nothing dramatic and a factual answer. Anyone can flag your post over anything. I could literally flag all your posts on this thread and I'd bet you'd get banned for a few days. (But I won't do that)
Blind will ban you for an unpopular opinion, even if it is respectful and no profanity. As long as it is reported by a few around here.. A policy that is very easy to abuse by a club of 5-6 in the community.

Blind took away my ability to DM because I posted a comment when I was concerned if the vaccines will work. While I can't be exactly sure, I think it was marked as inappropriate (Blind doesn't tell you which post or comment was triggered, and I can't think of anything else).
If u are curious/care u can go to your "activity" page and click on a few of your posts to see which is gone.
Thanks I'll remember that if it happens next time. That post is now difficult to find, but I remember someone said "let's mark it inappropriate". And I'm not a troll, I don't ever attack people, when I disagree I do it respectfully. So that post is likely the one that took away my DM ability.
Got a 5 day ban for trolling for posting the obvious 'your mom' joke to a troller asking about porn. Lost my top contributor badge and it hasn't come back in new month. 🤷🏾♂️
Some of my comments were a little too edgy for some people so I got banned from posting for a couple of weeks. I got notified in app.

No. I think the last one was about covid or something. Pretty much if your opinion is unpopular and enough people flag it blind will ban you for a certain amount of time. Probably just some arbitrary threshold that triggers the ban.
