Has Facebook stopped interviewing New Grad Software Engineers ?
I recently got in touch with one of University Recruiters and she told they have interviewed quite a lot of candidates for New Grad roles and now they are looking for Interns only! Can anyone confirm this ?
I had phone screen on Oct 20 and even then it was last phase according to my recruiter. So I think they might have stopped
They have stopped hiring New Grad SWE for Facebook London (biggest engineering hub outside US) because interns have mostly converted and it’s their main, cheaper and more effective pipeline.
How would we know if the recruiter is a liar or not? It’s not a role specific trait, it’s a person specific trait
Return intern offer acceptance was the highest it has been (according to a few recruiters I have talked to) which might explain that. The number of interns they had this past summer was 1500++ compared to 1000 the previous year as well

Does it matter if she lied to you
Exactly that is what I am trying to figure out as she was my recruiter when I was looking for Internship in Summer. I actually got a good feedback and made it till last interview round. However got rejected in the end due to limited positions available as I was interviewing in March, last week of FB intern hiring!
Not sure it she will still lie. So FB folks can give a heads up!
