This is just one of the articles that appeared online, I knew Google pays a lot but it’s still quite surprising: https://www.entrepreneur.com/business-news/google-salary-data-leak-shows-employee-compensation-in-2022/456092
Oh shit, I should apply
Really?
What’s your TC @ jane
Does anyone have the spreadsheet? For sales, a saas company beat them in OTE so I went saas for what it's worth. Equity was more but high risk high reward.
Huh? You mean a smaller start ups when you say a saas company? Equity for pre ipo is paper money
The 718k salary is Jeff Dean
Fake
This talks about base salary of 700k and that the max equity someone can get is 1.5m. First is too high, second is too low. This article has bad data. Move along.
definitely doesn’t align with Blind data. I don’t believe it
I make TC 696969. You can trust me because I'm on Blind.
Oh man, you are the typical example of bad apple which screws up the TC gtfo culture in blind
The other day levels-fyi released a salary report. As per that report, google stands no where in top paying companies. Now we are seeing this article where salaries at google are too high. Was it leaked or it’s on purpose 🙄🧐
The article says google median is well below meta.
Program managers do not make $300k base lol.
What level though? People getting bent out of shape about the numbers but there's no qualification of level. PM L7 or 8? Sure why not 300k
Just go to levels.fyi website, you can see most companies there.
This is self reported data for what it’s worth. It’s not like the HR system was leaked. $718k base is insane though, and almost unbelievable. Unless it’s some famous distinguished engineer it’s almost hard to believe. Base plateau’s, but equity rises.
That’s probably exactly what it is (if true), some industry famous distinguished engineer they are afraid of getting poached. The only alternative I can think of is someone with enough leverage to ask for all cash instead of stock. Can only think of a few people with that much pull though.
1) Google doesn’t have famous/distinguished engineers? This is the highest base in the company. Not surprising. 2) Median base per level/location is much more important. 3) It’s self reported. For all I know they confused TC with base, included some monster bonus, or are just lying. 4) Sparser but equivalent info has been available on Glassdoor.com, Levels.fyi etc. forever
