Have had a few interviews with them for a compliance test engineer position and I am feeling like I may be getting close to a job offer very soon(maybe as early as next week). I’ve tried to do some research on them, but there’s not a lot of information to go off of that I have been able to find with a google search. Does anybody here have any knowledge or experience working with or for them? #hardware

Crossed a line with my boss
EMC compliance ? Zensa is just a regular consultant company. I doubt they will have anything to do with your work after you join, as it’s all in Microsoft and you’ll be working with Microsoft engineers. Just that pay will be from Zensa and whatever benefits they provide.
Yep EMC, and thanks for the clarification. I’m not as familiar with Microsofts hiring/ consultant practices, so that seemed to be the case from the interviews but I wasn’t sure. I take it from your comment then that putting aside whatever differences in pay and benefits may be offered, most of their consultants are pretty much the same in terms of working conditions since you are ultimately day in and day out working for Microsoft?
Yes the work will be same as the Microsoft engineers, but keep in mind since this is a contract position, the complexity of work you’ll be doing is dependent on what you’re working on and it may just be that you’d be just taking measurements and making reports. Also since Microsoft had lots of layoffs in the HW team that last few months, a contract position is highly risky and there’s high chance of getting cut off easily with no severance.
