A lot less. You come to Apple to work.

I for real hate the Microsoft plan. You have to spend 3k before it pays for anything. The hsa from Microsoft is 1100 but it comes in pieces throughout the year. I find myself paying a lot of money out of pocket. Everyone says how great the plan is, but it’s only great for healthy people. So if you never go to the doctor it’s completely free and the hsa will cover your expenses.

Out of pocket max is $1500 (pre tax) money, after accounting for the MSFT contribution. So roughly $1000 out of pocket max, after tax equivalent. Plus you can use after tax money and keep money in the HSA for further savings. Our insurance covers so many drugs and so much care, without constant nagging or having to try other treatments first. It also covers healthcare whilst you’re outside the US.

3 months paid paternity leave. You can take it all at once or spread it over 1 year since the birth. From what I personally have seen, everyone has been very supportive about people using the benefit, no issues taking 3 months off. Both men and women use their benefits fully.

Apple pays for 6 weeks fully. Other 6 weeks are state benefits (state pays half and one can use his sick/vacation days to cover other half). I’ve never seen anyone take all at once but folks I know took 2-3 weeks at once)

For the 6 unpaid weeks, other than state benefits to cover half, will it affect bonus and equity? The half means the base salary?
