FTE at BOA for TC $178k as a product owner VS contract for $110 hr at NIKE as an agile consultant. What would you do?
Both are equal if you consider health care, leaves and other benefits. I would go with FT job which comes with slightly more stability compared to contract.
The stability is a good point.
Contractors also have to pay full employment tax - an additional 7.65%. No 401k match (~4%). As others said, health & leave. From a TC perspective, BOA offer is superior.
Didn't think about the employment tax. Thanks i am going to look into that
Does BOA pay this much?? 🤔 Woow. What does bonus look like?
BOA offers bonus like 150 RSU over 4 years and year end annual of like 5k-6k.
OP: BOA TC includes Bonus and RSU? Also, the location for BOA
This isn’t even a contest. BOA for TC. Benefits and work experience. Nike might be cool but I don’t recommend working there
Product Owner. Skills will be incredibly transferable, and converting from contract to FTE at Nike could take approximately 1200 years, if you’re interested in going that route.
Yeah I heard that conversion process is nearly impossible.
Former Nike FTE here. We treat our contractors poorly 😢 run for your life
