Have a few offers that I'm looking for feedback on. Having a hard time deciding between them. Facebook E5 - $205k base - $100k sign on cash - $600k RSUs 15% target cash and 0-200k RSU refreshers Stripe L3 - $190k base - $950k RSUs at most recent valuation 15% target cash bonus (200% multiplier) Cruise - $190k base - $25k sign on bonus - $375k RSUs Convoy - $165k base - 33,000 options Oracle Cloud waiting on numbers Qualtrics - $180k base - $150k equity - $25k sign on bonus Obviously money wise Facebook is amazing. I'm strongly considering Convoy though right now due to their growth potential and opportunity for unique experience. Would love to know what others would do...
Stripe. Not a lot of tech debt, great documentation, on the way up, great offer.
Second Stripe, very fast growth
Yeah I had a great experience interviewing there, awesome culture too. Just not sure about their IPO plans (which they said they're not planning right now). Also is quite big, so not sure about how much x growth there is left there.
Can you share your convoy interview experience?
It was great, normal design and coding questions but tons on culture. Maybe 30% or more on the culture and leadership side which I was impressed with and one of the reasons I'm considering them so strongly.
Stripe
Yoe?
Can you share your preparation strategy? How many LC did you do ?
I'd go for the one with the highest personal development potential. Judging by the offers you received so far, you can always demand this level of compensation whenever. But what's going to separate you out in the next few years? Maybe yod like to learn how to manage people, or move into sales, or be the one and only domain expert in whatever you're doing.
That's why I'm leaning to Convoy, it'll be the most unique experience for me right now due to where they are in their business. In terms of learning how to grow a company and scale to (hopefully) something successful. The other offers seem great but not necessarily unique, I can get them and the opportunity again in a few years (if they're all still around). I guess chasing TC is not what will make me happy.
Happy for you. I feel there should always be a tinge of self interest to develop your own skills or find your own fulfillment. I knew early on in college and in my career that I didn't want to become just another engineer somewhere. That's when I learned that I needed to forge my own path while at the same time finding my own challenges.
Go with FB or Stripe. Forget Qualtrics, nowhere close to FB or Stripe in terms of eng culture and opportunities.
Two many offers to decide. I would pick FB or Stripe depends on career growth
