Not bad for 2-3 years experience but meh otherwise.
You've been low balled. This is lower than new grad pay at top tier companies. I say leetcode harder and reapply, get more counter offers and negotiate. Edit: just realized it's for Austin. Not sure about the market there, but I still suggest shopping around and getting counter offers.
Surprised to get this advice - what would you consider a fair new grad offer?
In the Bay Area, total comp should be approaching $180k with the expectation that it can go up to $200k when stock price increases before first vest. Your offer of ~$130k total comp in Austin may be fair considering the low cost of living and lower housing prices there.
For Austin it is pretty good, especially if you don't own a home in CA. My brother in law just did this.
Depends. What's your prior industry XP? Also which company it is matters greatly to accurately answer.
Decent low mid level experience offer, what's your years of experience?
That's okay for Austin but It's getting more and more expensive. Try buying a house around here for under $400k without at least an hour commute. Then you live in Bubbaville.
How many years of experience do you have ? Which Org and team, PM me. And yes, 4yr vesting period is normal.
U can push for more. Ask for a higher base. Also what is your bonus % ? See if that can be guaranteed at a higher %.
