-Motional equity is not worth something because it hasn’t IPOed - Zoox is in the AV space, but requires relocation and I would prefer not to move. Pros: Very strong team with lots to learn and exciting space. Stocks from Amazon. They also offer $150K internal stocks (excluded from offer detail) - Symbotic is in warehouse robotics, so new area. Glassdoor reviews are concerning about growth and WLB. Leveling is better than Zoox Career growth is most important factor. It would be really helpful if you discuss your rationale #engineering #software #swe

They have IPOed. Financially offer is better, trying to gauge opinions for professional growth

Still better than depending on the kindness of outside investors, like many other places that are pre-revenue. Amazon plays the long game.
Based on the Glassdoor reviews, Symbotic sounds like an even more toxic version of Motional, and one with poor WLB, since they have paying customers. After reading the article "Meet The Billionaire Robot Overlord Reinventing Walmart’s Warehouses", I am not sure I want to work for an overlord who owns 95% of the company. One review is titled: Slave ship docked in boston!!! How many days in office does Symbotic require? How does a commute to Wilmington sound?
Also according to Glassdoor, Symbotic has done layoffs. Move to CA. What's keeping you in MA? Only stay if you have a big mansion in a posh suburb, but even then, you can sell the house for top dollar now. MA house prices have held up pretty well and even appreciated a bit this year.
What do the layoffs have to do with anything?
Consider that the Zoox stocks may not hit their target values, and they have failed to reach their goals in both 2022 and 2023. We were expected to be in the range of $9-11 in 2024, and hitting $20 in 2027. We will be nowhere near those figures. Do you mind my asking what they told you the stock projections were for ZARs over the next few years?
