To keep it short, I have two standing offers and my current position that I'm looking to decide on in the next few days... I'm currently located in Seattle, WA and don't plan to relocate. I have 2 yoe total, 1 with my current company. Current Company: Product Developer at a really small aero-consulting company. TC 103k, 3% 401k match. I'm in the office 9-6PM everyday. 15 days PTO. Shame if you leave early culture but small enough if I needed to work from home for an appointment I have the freedom to do so. VERY flat structure, no real career growth. Offer A: Application Engineer at Series E start-up. Base 112k, 15% profit sharing bonus, 4% 401k match, 15 days PTO, no commissions since it's primarily working pre-sales. About 20% travel would be required but the position is remote. Looks like they have a viable product and have steady revenue from what i've been told. Looking to IPO in the next 12 months but it's probably too late to profit from that. Company is rapidly hiring and expanding into new regions. Potential for growth and relocation. Offer B: Technical Sales Engineer for an established R&D equipment manufacturer. 145k OTE, 78k base, 5% 401k match, 15days PTO, company car or $400/month stipend, gas card. The position is remote but my region would be all of USA & Canada (and potentially Latin & South America when needed) for this particular line of products. Company has been stable, has never had layoffs in its 80 year history. Potential for exciting travel and relocation to europe/SE Asia within 5 years. I'm okay with traveling, and think I would enjoy it, but I'm having a hard time weighing the pros and cons. Help me blind. TC: peanuts for tech, but A-ok for a 2yoe MechE #techcareer #aerospace #startups #career
