I am new to blind just joined it to get some help in choosing between the following offers. Currently in Oracle Non-OCI, my team might be impacted by the layoffs but luckily I have offers. All offers are for Bay Area: OCI (IC2) - TC 180k - 135k + 45k stocks /yr Microsoft (SDE2) - TC 200k - 145k + 30k stocks/yr+ 25k(joining bonus) Cisco (SDE III) - TC 220k - 175k + 20k stocks /yr + 25k joining bonus Inclining towards Microsoft but Cisco package seems too good along with better wlb. Microsoft team is in Azure and is on call heavy as per my talks with the team but reputation is better than Cisco.
Reject OCI and tell them to save 1 job instead
They need to save dat 1bn lmao
When did you get Microsoft offer? I thought they are in hiring freeze
2 days ago. I was in talks since a few weeks and this org was aggressively hiring at that point.
People choosing Cisco - Just wanted to understand your thoughts behind that.
Better base and no on-call
following
I would advise picking Microsoft and keep preparing to move out within 18 months.
why within 18 months? can you explain your perspective?
Enough time for the market to get back to regular so you don’t have to accept a low call offer. Also you’ll able to extract whatever useful things are to learn in 18 months
Microsoft is a better company than the other two
Msft any day. No brainer.
Msft is probably better on your resume too. Good stepping stone
Hi congrats on your offers! Would you mind sharing your prep for sys. design? Were most of your coding questions medium difficulty? Thank you in advance.

By the end of your 4 years your Msft stock would be atleast 1.5X. factor in that. I'm addition consider 10% base as bonus + 5K stocks. No clue about Cisco. All that I know is their stock stinks
What level and YoE?
Currently IC2 at Oracle with 1.5 years experience
