Help me evaluate offer: Wells Fargo or Optum
I have received two offers for senior Software engineer. Which one to join? Both Location: NYC Wells: Base 155k + 20 bonus (5 days In Office) Optum: Base 170k + no bonus (Full Remote) Current TC: 120k in Virginia Points I would like to discuss: 1. Is that true that Wells Fargo might have 0 bonus if org don't do well? 2. How's work life balance in both? 3. Wells Fargo don't have 401k in first year? 4. Looks like 170 base and remote is a better offer. Your entire income will be eaten into with the cost of living adjustment.
Office culture is dead at WF- you will be in an empty office on video calls all day. Morale is terrible as well.
Optum is very good about work life balance. And i find it hard to believe that you have 170k base and no bonus + stock options. What grade is your position ?
