I’ll get straight to the point, IBM is a dead end. I’m currently in a hardware role but want to transfer to software dev at another company. Are side development projects worth the time to include on a resume? How else would I be able to build myself up to get out? Any advice would be appreciated #tech #swe #techcareer
Don’t waste your time with projects. Get on leetcode are start solving problems. That’s all that matters in software interviews

Recommend to move to Software within IBM and start looking outside for other opportunities as SWE. Else it’ll be too difficult.
This is the one
I have a decent amount of software projects under my belt from ibm, transferring would essentially just be switching my official title. My degree is in computer engineering and I’m still early in my career. Do you still recommend making that internal switch?
