Hi! I came to the states with a J1 visa as an exchange scholar researcher. I had no idea I’d have so many opportunities from companies here. I currently cannot sleep at nights, I regret so much for applying for this program (3 months / Fulbright). I really want to try working here but I know my visa is a problem. Have you applied for a working visa while being on a J1 (two years home country requirement)? What’s steps did you take? How hard is to get a waiver? Are there any ‘dangers’ for future applications if I try to do that?
