Help needed | Rippling vs Uber vs Airbnb - India
Please help in making the decision: I liked rippling overall from the hiring manager discussion but feels very risky with so much of bad reviews on blind. The team is payroll filling - heard work is not interesting and tech is not good + python Django monolith. Pay wise they are valuing themself at 11.5 Bn which is too much IMO and I don't see any upside from here. Major part of the offer is paper money as of now. Uber is checking all the boxes but not providing competitive pay. Uber recruiter is not negotiating even after having better offers on top of it I know uber has a big band of l4 that goes till 85. Work and everything else seems interesting. I am not worried of layoffs since I am confident enough that I can get offer anytime Airbnb is great but they are in work from anywhere model and I want a hybrid work office. + they started engg office in Bangalore last year so I am not sure if its really good engg wise Priorities: Good tech work Decent WLB if not too good I don't like work from home, looking for work from the office which is why not so inclined towards Airbnb Want to move to US after 1/2 Years - AFAIK uber provides that option not sure about others YOE- 3+ Uber TC - 69 Airbnb TC - 75 Rippling TC - 75 #uber #airbnb #rippling

At Airbnb you will have an option to work from office if you want to.

A few people do. But depends on why you do not want WFH. Unsuitable work conditions at home? Then this should be perfect for you, but If you want to come to office to experience human interaction then yes, you might be disappointed. But in general that should not be your sole source of interaction anyway.

the learning is alot more and so is the fun. Waking up opening laptop and working from the same room till the end of the day is not something that I like
work from a different room/we works/starbucks if thats what you want?
How much of Uber's TC if fixed and base? I think it would be more than others.

Don't overthink it. Airbnb is a great company and you'd be an idiot to give it up for overpriced paper equity.

It's not fair to compare pre-IPO stock to an established company 1:1. A company in my college was offering CTO role with 20 base and 1 Cr equity at 2 YoE. Do you believe this is 1.2 Cr TC ?
this is slightly different, rippling ipo is within 2 years, but yeah I got your point
