If you are a high performer, does it help boost confidence in life that helps with other things, like dating, relationships, etc? I’m a mediocre performer and don’t think I’m excelling at anything. Was not top in a sport, not top in school..
If behavior outside of work is directly linked to high performance at work then the individual should take advantage of their excellent health insurance and get therapy.
Overcoming challenges gives you an ego boost. I don't expect it though to transfer to the relationship domain, probably harms more if you're being obnoxious about how good you are.
If you want to be good at one thing, being a high performer is a great idea. There are some who try to be good at everything and end up being bad or mediocre at it. If you ever thought about the people who have invented great things (in STEM anyways) they are usually very focused on one thing only, or the other things they did are similar to their previous achievements
I call BS. The most important advances have been done by people that are experts in one or two areas but have dabbled in many other areas.
Confidence typically inversely correlated with skill
So earning $650k with 3 yoe does not make you feel better in life?

More money = more problems Your self worth shouldn’t be reliant on how much money you earn.
Yeah it is kinda annoying, I feel you but try to separate your work from your life.
> If you are a high performer, does it help boost confidence If you have high confidence, it helps boost performance. Your lack of faith could be the cause of the problem, not the result.
For me it's a combination of high performance which in-turn brings in the big bucks and also a good physique by focusing on my workouts and overall health. This combination is a great confidence booster overall.
