2 F15s were deployed, the plane crashed outside Seattle
All flights are grounded out of Seattle !!
Omg is the thief even alive? He crashed the plane wtf?? Why steal it if you canโt fly it?
Suicide.
Thatโs so sad ๐ญ I listened to the audio clips and I think he regretted his decision and tried to land it but he was getting lightheaded and running out of fuel.. https://twitter.com/jwsthomson/status/1028134044502908929?s=21
They definitely shot the plane down
Right out of GTA V
This is some crazy shit. I once imagined that some estranged Amazon employee would steal the Amazon 1 jet and crash it into the spheres. This shit reminds me that this is in the realm of the possible.
Destroying Jeff's million years clock is definitely on my bucket list.

Planes donโt have keys itโs basically easier to steal than a modern car if you know what youโre doing, which it sounds like the dude somewhat did.
He learned from video games
This incident will have important repercussions for tarmac employee security scanning. An incident worse than this once caused a first wave of security tightening (for employees not in the tarmac). That time, an angry employee smuggled a gun and boarded a plane. In flight, he opened fire, killing a coworker and the crew. Then he seized control of the plane and dived it into the ground at full throttle. Check out the Air Disasters collection. Pretty amazing accident investigations.
One has to wonder how this is even possible
That's a dumb observation. Why would it not be possible.... It's not like he had to do anything to make this happen.
Itโs happened once in recent memory. If any pilot were able to do this, let alone any person, weโd see it much more frequently.
