Nearly all of user research and content design and a good chunk of marketing and flywheel were laid off in the last two days despite the CEO saying LAST MONTH that there were no layoffs coming. No additional severance offered for people with tenure unlike basically every other tech layoff #hubspot #layoffs TC: 0 now
When will this madness end.
Holy hell. So sorry to read this. Feel free to DM for a TikTok referral. That goes for anyone reading
That’s what the ceos do. Say one and do another.
What was the severance offered?
4 mos for everyone. Canada employees get a lump sum, in the IS it's the regular pay schedule through May 25th. Again so far no additional week per year of tenure as in other layoffs.
sorry in the US* it's regular pay
I thought they have been hiring aggressively
They had a few openings for user research last year. Hire to layoff?! So sorry to hear, OP!
It was 50 people, 0.7% of the company
It was almost all of UXR and CD plus the folks in marketing. Despite what the email said it was well over 50. Gutting entire functions is newsworthy.
How much of ux research group was gutted?
Wait seriously? I'm so sorry to hear. I've been interviewing on the product team so very shocked to hear this, is hiring paused?
Hiring is paused for some departments, yes
Hiring is not paused for product or engineering, this was consolidating resources for a few roles the company feels it was over indexing on. This was a small restructuring that impacted around 50 people, .7% of the company
"Big layoffs"? It was less than 1% of the company. I'm sorry you were laid off, I know how tough an experience that is.
Sorry OP - former hubspotter designer here, if need referral DM me - though not sure how much open recs are available right now.
Bidenomics at work again, sorry to hear that, I hope you can land back on your feet soon
