BP medication - Amlodipine besylate 2.5 mg cost - CVS

I am paying 40$ out of my pocket for 30 tablets of 2.5 mg. I feel I am paying too much for this medication from CVS Pharmacy. Does anyone recommend changing to a different pharmacy to lower the cost, as it is going to be a long term medication?

Try GoodRx

I have never tried goodrx. Do I need to ask my doctor to send a prescription to goodrx?

Also you could try pill pack which Amazon owns now. I saw there is also Amazon pharmacy. I’m guessing those will beat cvs.

Google GoodRx, type in your medication if the GoodRx price is cheaper than what you currently pay, download the coupon and take it with you to the pharmacy when you go to pick it up. Different pharmacies will have different prices so the cheapest pharmacy might not be the one closest to you.

Thanks everyone - I just figured out that CVS did not have my insurance on file . After I updated my insurance - I was charged 0.81$ for 30 tablets for latest refill. Looks like CVS cannot refund my older refill as it was more than 2 weeks .

You can still submit your claim to your insurance and get that paid to you.

Thank you - I will talk to my insurance and submit a claim.

Why not ask your Doctor for a 90 day prescription? 90 day prescription is cheaper. Don’t know if Amazon has Cigna.. if you are covered by Cigna Insurance, use their online pharmacy.
