Honeywell layoffs started today January 24, 2023
All layers affected, especially the higher paid engineering and managers based in the USA. Cuts ongoing also at the India offices. #honeywell

Several close friends - sr engineers, eng managers, director.. 100% confirmed.

It may be silent layoffs. VMware had some layoffs yesterday and it hasn’t made the news. Similarly, Nordstrom had layoffs in its tech division in September, but it never made the news.
Why silent? Is there a strategy behind this (other than just avoiding some press) or does it happen?
If it doesn’t make make it to press, then the impact on PR will be much lower.

A few hundreds, probably. Relatively a small percentage from total workforce.
