Host matching

Working for almost 2 years interviewed for L4 Google, reaching host matching and it seems all the teams I was offered were on other platforms , chrome os, wearables and Google play, and I was wondering will I Get pigeoned holed to these roles and how are those teams in general? If I ask for other teams is it likely I will have other opportunities? For context I interviewed in java which matched a lot of the descriptions Yoe 2 Tc 175~ #engineering #software #swe
