Interviewer is senior personal with 25+ years of experience. Not sure what he will be expecting from frontend dev , They named this round as Bar raiser round, kindly please do advice on this! Thank you :) YOE: 6 Current TC: 17 (Freshworks) #engineering #software #swe #sde2 #hotstar #Interview #frontend #barraiser #disney #interviewquestions
Not sure about recent interview pattern in Hotstar. But last year when I attempted and this bar raiser round was about designing a E-commerce app like Amazon. Focus was on FE components, Data model and other optimization related to that.
Thanks for the response, Interesting to know that it was design round, Did you remember who has taken the interview for you, Or did you remember his experience or role in hotstar, it will be very helpful for me
I don't remember names but they were some like in Head of Engineering / VP levey. One is ex-Facebook.
For me, it was a general discussion regarding my work experience, the challenging problems I have faced in the past, followed by a design question. The aim is to understand your approach to a problem and your thought process.
Thanks for ur responce, did they extent offer to you ? What design question they asked
Let's get on DM
Not sure about the hotstar in general, but based on my interview experience, consider it more like a hiring manager round, he'll be discussing about the contribution you've made in your current organization, why do you want to leave it now, or something around your personal projects. Use this round to get the idea of structure of the team, what kind of work you'll be doing. Get the insight about the growth opportunities and vision of the senior management. Then decide whether they're the right fit for you.
Thanks alot Cooper , will do my preparation accordingly!, I hope it won't be another technical round, by his experience it should be mostly manager round as you mentioned
