Overall, I see 100k to 200k price drop on $1M houses across SJ, Santa Clara and Milpitas townhomes. With potential Fed rate cut (and proposed Google campus + extension of BART), is it a good time to enter the market as new home buyers?
None of these homes have a basements. Haven’t come across any new constructions with basements
Google and bart project can be cancelled at anytime. Dont let that influence your decision
Crazy to see that million dollar houses don’t have basements , you need to move off Bay area !
Good time to buy
I think its a good time to buy, but I’m biased as I just bought.
Next year another 10-15% correction will happen
If interest rates drop, housing prices may increase because the cost of borrowing capital is lower and because one of the alternatives (the bond market) becomes less attractive. Do houses in that area have basements?
Rarely. Only older ones.
Damn, I love basements. Cool in the summer and less neighbors to deal with than apartments (only those living above).
