I am new to the world of Data Science without any practical real-world job experience in this field. I have degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from NC A&T State University, a Google Data Analytics certification through Coursera, a Data Science certification from NC State University, and I am currently working in Information Technology (IT). At the end of this year, I will also have an Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AI & ML) certification from NC State University. As a person who is willing to do what it takes to become a Data Scientist, how can I obtain some experience in this field? I would love to work at Google, but I am not sure how to get there. Where do I start? Who should I connect with? I just need to know where to begin. Please help. Thanks in advance. #datascience #dataanalytics #google
It’s absurdly competitive. Doing what it takes is getting a Phd at Stanford and picking up python on the side.
Work at a startup. You’ll learn a ton more and much faster which should pay off nicely later on. You’re too young to be joining a big ship.

You either need experience somewhere else first or a PhD
