How active are Tinder and Bumble for hook-ups in NYC

I was debating returning to the city, but with the pandemic I was wondering how active these apps are in terms of hook-ups. I know the Tinder app says to only do virtual dates, but Idk who the hell would listen to that. Is the hook-up scene dead in the city like it was in September or is it back to normal more or less? #dating
