How do you feel about this? https://www.marketwatch.com/story/synaptics-snaps-up-assets-of-broadcoms-wireless-iot-connectivity-business-for-250-million-2020-07-07
Are there any humans left at Broadcom? Walking though its offices feels like scenes from the movie — I am Legend.
I found that pretty weird too.
I don’t get the reference. Am I missing something?
He is the EX VP of that division, while he was at Broadcom before moving to a different company as CEO. Seems like he is finally at Synaptics as CEO snapping up rights. May be he feels it is valued.
Ya interested to know how do you guys feel about it.
What I heard is Hock wanted to fire one of the ex-GM's favorites and so he bought that guy and his team
Is the EX-GM the current ceo of synaptics?
Yes
Didn’t they sell IOT business to cypress a while back?
Wondering the same thing...what did they sell back then
Looks like wall street approves of the sale
This is a good sale for everyone. Wcc management is doing everything to meet Hock's numbers. A sale like this is better than layoffs to cut costs
What is the general direction of the company? Seems like they are selling chip business and buying software
True that. What ever makes more money.
Does it mean HOcktan doesn’t believe in wcc anymore??
Broadcom selling only IP and not the chip business of the WiFi etc right?
