I have the right BMI, exercise few days a week but cholesterol keeps increasing every year. M 33 TC:210
Reduced red meat consumption, and fried food.
Less stress. HIIT everyday.
Improving LDL requires medication if proper diet doesn't help, improving HDL is possible through exercise. Check with your doctor if you need to take Atorvastatin to help LDL.
Reduce inflammation with a low inflammation diet and you will see that cholesterol doesn’t matter as much.
Eliminate veggie oils. Reduce sugar and white carbs.
There are studies that found donating blood helps lower LDL cholesterol! Double win — helps ur health + helps others in need!
I lost 30 pound 6 months ago by skipping dinner and starts running+HIIT. Now I keep running around 120 miles per month with Intervals/LSD/Halt marathon mixed. But I eat everything. Fried chicken at least twice, Burger twice, and other chips & snacks. Still lost another 12 pound. It depends on calories you digest vs burn. As long as you burn more than eating should be fine.
It’s not about exercise and weight both of which are ideal for me.
Do you drink coffee? I had the same thing happen and I drank mostly unfiltered french press coffee or espresso. I saw an article that some people react to an oil in unfiltered coffee that raises LDL. I switched to filtered coffee and my LDL levels dropped a huge amount.
Interesting. Ya I drink about 4 shots of espresso everyday
What are your levels at currently?

Same thing! This one is my recurring problem
