How did your hatred against your manager/team members changed over time?
#tech Not at PayPal. I joined this startup and I liked the domain. I gave amazing ideas and my entire team felt my value. Good number of people told me “I have heard great things about you from X”. My intention when I joined the company was to 1) prove myself that I can survive in a startup 2) get i140 Now both these happened I’m revived my startup idea. But until it takes of and I fix my legal status I need to stay in this job. But somehow over last year my hatred starting growing towards my manager. He wasn’t my manager when I joined and he was a senior software engineer. We had good rapport back then. How do I fix my hatred towards my manager ? #tech
Focus on the work, not your manager, or change teams. Do you resent the fact that he was promoted and not you?
Not at all. But the criteria for getting promoted changed in due course of time. But still I don’t have any jealousy per Se. I just need better WLB. I can’t keep doing 14+ hours everyday
