I've read DDIA book, went through donne martin's github repo for system design, went through Grokking the system design and advanced system design course from educative.io, and watched countless youtube videos and blogs. But I'm still struggling in system design interviews. I'm able to gather functional and Non-functional requirements pretty well and even do the back of the envelope calculations. But as soon as I present my high level design, I'm unable to structure my discussion and decide on what to discuss and what not to. Any tips on how to structure my thoughts and ace the design interviews? Any good websites where I can practice and get feedback? If possible hire a mentor? It's really frustrating when recruiters don't share feedback about what went wrong and without feedback it's really difficult to improve. You have done all preparatory things. What you lack is real experience with system design and luck. Be patient. At times look at architectures of famous products on the internet. Being aware of certain patterns that are helping big companies sustain is a blessing during an interview. Quoting those design inspirations during interviews are certainly a positive.
Thanks, will keep grinding
