So I have nearly three years of expertise in what I do, and I am not a member of the FAAMNG clan. I could really use some advice on how to get a job outside India. Is pursuing a master's degree or working in FAAMNG the only option available? I do get a lot of invitations for interviews, but when I tell them that I'd need work visa sponsorship, the process goes downhill. Any suggestions/tips are highly appreciated! #h1b #workvisa
Do MS and move to US.
Don't it's not wise anymore
@amazon Why not anymore?
There is no M in FAANG
No Amazon either 😉
Yea the A is apple & albertsons.
If you are in your twenties, I highly recommend doing at least one year MS course to get into US. It's the most gauranteed (relatively) way to get there. Others are very luck dependent with lot of variables. Internal transfer means you should have excelled, manager should be supportive, company policies should be aligned, right role and salary for you, preferred location, and spouse should get a job there, you should have stayed in a company for minimum number of years to be eligible. 90% of the time at least one of this is not right. With MS, you also get the H1B visa advantage.
Thanks LinkedIn, will give it some thought :)
Europe is much easier than US. Try Booking, Optiver, Bloomberg if you haven't.
He is a zoho guy. (Service based WITCH level company. ) He can't get into optiver. Less likely for BB and Booking too.
What’s a WITCH level company?
