How do I stop getting e-mails in Gmail adressed to someone else?
I get mails that don't belong to me. But they are adressed to someone else with exactly the same name. The only diference is my e-mailadres has a dot in the name. For example. john.example@gmail.com. And the other one is johnexample@gmail.com. How do I stop these e-mails? I've tryed to contact the other one without succes. thx for your advise.,
Gmail doesn’t differentiate between whether or not you have a . in your email address, in the same way as they don’t care about upper case vs lower case. Your name is too common, and you used it as your email. That’s why.
This is your email address. You can filter such mails though to directly reach deleted items.
Complain on blind that will solve the problem in the next 3-5 days
You jest, but I’ve had many bugs fixed within days due to my complaints on blind after they had gone unfixed for months. I’ve even had engineers go through logs and discuss my issue in detail on blind.

Same exact problem. I tried marking as spam for all those weird invoices. Still keep coming. I gave up.

Ancient one, if you have a commonname.gmail address, you are prime for phishing attacks. Please dont open invoices, docs or offers of prizes. And get an outlook.com account.

That is the same email in Gmail. J.ohn.eX.ample@gmail.com would also go to the email.
Going through the same problem ! Emailed the person many times but no response. I even get invoices which does not belong to me
