I'm curious as to how performance reviews and carreer progression works at Palantir. How does one get to the point where they manage other people?
Answering your second question - join a deployment, wait until you have more context than anyone else around (depending on the project this can take anywhere between 3 and 6 months) and then you’ll be asked to manage newcomers.
There are no formal performance reviews as of 2016. Almost everyone has the same title and there’s no concept of engineer levels.
there are multiple titles: dev, delta, echo, tl, etl but there seems to be no difference in salary between them

Palantir is dead. I really think the way they treated applicants (I know several friends that have had horrible interview experiences) along with their average offers along with the heinous wlb has come back to bite them on their asses.
That does not answer my question.
It’s a forum not a q and a. Get over it.
