This is my first time doing an annual review where I have to actually write/comment on my contributions at work. In my last job I basically only had to check off boxes that I did my job. Do you always give yourself highest marks regardless of how you think you performed during the year or are you honest about it even when you haven’t been performing as well? Tc ~90k ~2 yoe
I always give myself high marks. It's not my job to short change myself.

Quitting this Slave life
I picked other. My manager has not been helpful in setting clear goals and I'm often doing "other duties as required". My goals usually align with manager's but then he'll abandon projects leading to me abandoning them too. I usually remove half my yearly goals, exceed in one or two areas and meet expectations in the rest. I'm generally honest in my review equating to a standard raise. I'm not really in a tech role but trying to break into a BI role at current company. Might have to look elsewhere soon.
