I’ve been on PIP for the past 2.5 months. My manager refuses to give me a clear answer as to how much longer the PIP will last (even though most PIPs last 30 to 90 days) I’m planning on sending an email to my skip level about her refusing to give clear next steps after repeated requests. Additionally I’ve received positive feedback from all team members but she does not include this on the Workday tracker
PIPs in this industry are abused and are not used for what they are truly meant to be used for. Document everything and do most everything in writing. If you want to attempt to beat it. If you feel you have a good chance with skip level, then talk with them about everything. This field needs to be fixed. PIPs are just abusive at this point.
you should try to get regular 1on1 meeting with skip, particularly if you are on PIP. Get written trace of your peer feedbacks and share with skip and the skip’s manager too. Also send a mail with an update per month with what you did to course correct alongside peer feedbacks. And of course try to change team asap and interview outside
You're going to be fired. Likely if you push it you are just accelerating the timelines to not having a job.
Download your emails documenting everything as a PDF and then email that to yourself. If you go to unemployment benefits, you can prove it's not your fault, you just have a incompetent bad manager
If it’s a real PIP and she won’t give you an answer I would recommend asking your HRBP.
