For SWE/SDET (associate level), can I sell stock once a year while I'm still at the company? Or do I have to wait until I'm out? Also how much is given? #docusign #rsu
You get an allotment of stock. 1/4th of it vests a year after it was granted. Then from the on the leftover amount vents each quarter. It's a 4 year vesting schedule so at 4 years all the RSUs will be fully vested. Whatever you have vested you can sell during the trading periods.
So you can sell stocks once a year correct?
There are four open trading windows per year each lasting about 6 weeks. So you have four opportunities per year to sell, assuming you have vested shares to sell.
Does it even matter at this point? 😂 😅😭My baddd....

What happens when most of your team is Indian?
Docusign is publicly traded company. You will either get RSUs or Options. RSUs are just stock and are yours once they vest. The only time there are restrictions is if you posses non public information and are place in resistricted list and then can only buy or sell stock at certain points during the year. That usually doesn't apply to most front line employees. Options are not stock in just a guarantee to buy stock at locked in price.
