I like smoking weed. I have tried it 3-4 times and I want to continue it. But i dont want to get addicted to weed. Can anyone tell me how frequently does weed smoking leads to addiction (if i smoke once in 2 weeks, is it fine?)
Think of it like food. You know the feeling certain dishes will give you and you eat too much of those dishes for that feeling. When you are chasing a feeling that only weed gives you then its time to slow down. Like if its part of your evening or bedtime routine, stop. Keep it casual like a few times a month.
Weed isn't addictive.
By a strict medical definition that we needed to say to get it legalized. Colloquially is very different.
No, it's actually just not addictive.
EOhh is right. Medically not addicted, lifestyle addictive? It definitely can be. Like obviously ice cream and chips arenât addictive in a medical sense but some people just eat it all the time
People will argue weed is not addictive. I'm not going to be pedantic about the meaning of addiction. Just like anything else in life, you may get dependent on weed. You like the feeling so you do it more. It's only an issue if you neglect other aspects of your life to smoke weed. When I smoked, it came to a point where I did it daily after work. It didn't affect my work but I didn't hang out with my friends as much. I neglected my health and ate more and didn't go to the gym as much whereas I was going 3-4 times a week before. So I stopped cold turkey. I felt "hazy" in my mind for about a week but didn't have any real urges to smoke. Quitting wasn't the hard part, it was realizing I was smoking too much and neglecting other areas of my life.
Weed is not addictive. In clg last 2 yrs I smoked up almost daily. But as soon as the clg ended and professional life started, its frequency went down to once or twice a week, and now after 3yoe in professional world, it is once a week at max.. So to answer ur ques on addiction.. No its not addictive.. Its not something that u cannot live without!!! So chill and have weed :P
No, there can literally be a chemical addiction to food, especially sugars. There is none to weed (cannabinoids). One could build an unhealthy use habit, but there is no chemical addiction to using it. You can stop at any time and not feel like you MUST use it.
Iâd argue it doesnât matter a lot to your daily life if it is medical addiction or habitual. If you struggle with self control youâre gonna fall into the trap. Yes, if you are out of state and canât get high for 10 days you wonât âfreak outâ physically like a withdrawal but that doesnât mean it isnât hard to do when available
To put it another way you probably aren't going to rob a dispensary to get more weed, although that would be a great plot for a movie
Used to smoke almost every day in college but I stopped once I graduated and didnât have any issues quitting. Still get high every now and then but I never crave it
I smoke everyday coz my Dr. Dre said so
But seriously I've been a cannabis enthusiast for over 10 years with regular use. I can go weeks without it though and feel fine. Addiction is all in the mind
if you like it, and consider smoking it regularly, congrats, you are next to getting addicted
