I am an upcoming new grad (bachelors) and I recently got an offer from Bloomberg for a new grad position in NYC. They seem to pay pretty well (200k after negotiation) but there seems to be some mixed reviews about the company here on Blind. I wanted to know if Bloomberg is a good company to join as a new grad and how long it usually takes to be promoted. Also, how good does Bloomberg look on resume? Thanks all #bloomberg Tc: 0
200k without signing/relocation bonus?
no it includes signing bonus
I think it’s pretty safe to join Bloomberg especially now. Every other tech company is freezing hiring and laying off.
That’s true! Reassuring
Hey I recently got a verbal offer for Bloomberg as well but haven’t gotten the exact numbers, I’m curious what’s your offer break down?
Initial offer was 155k Base, 23k Annual bonus, 10k relocation bonus. Using competing offers u can get higher bonuses
Is the annual bonus recurring? Or just 155 base after first year
Congrats! How did you negotiate?
Competing offers!
Congrats!! Wondering how the negotiation went? Did you share the offer letters? I’m in your position too and deciding between offers. Hard to motivate myself to finish the interview processes!

It’s a decent place to start your career. Very team dependent, but overall culture is good.
I see, I interned at Apple and snap recently and due to headcount I wasn’t able to get return offers. I’m jus hoping it’s not a big downgrade…
It is not a downgrade, just be mindful of your TC. TC and raises are good in first few years but they flat out soon.
