Planning to explore an opportunity with Indeed as they seem to be hiring a lot. What is the difficulty level of interview? LeetCode hard or medium? How much of system design would be required?
Not so fast! The coding questions are easy but they put enourmous weight on how well you explain your solution and most importantly decision making process, trade-ins, etc. Culture fit, leadership skills, attitude, behavioral questions - these are way more important than your coding skills at Indeed. Your recruiter should give you a very detailed preparation talk. And they will outbid anyone for the right candidate.
I like interview style in indeed: SDE: 2-3 WB, code review, talk about resume, programming on HackerRank (~2 hours onsite) Senior: added architecture section As result it looks better then most part of IT companies. Decision mades by voting system. Usually all interviewers voted same, because it clearly understands about skills of candidate.
Leetcode medium/hard. The 6-7 hours onsite is mentally and physically exhausting. One of the longest onsite for tech interviews.
Senior engineer candidates and management candidates are the only ones that have to do an architecture / systems design. Your recruiter can give you more info if you ask. Questions are not easy but not as crazy as googles. I would agree with everyone’s assessment. Indeed has a lot of interesting problems to solve and we need a lot of help to solve them. We have a lot of data and we are always making discoveries with it and building new products. It’s also really great with WLB.
Good luck with the process. It was very exhausting but much better than most places I have interviewed with. My hackerrank question was not on leetcode, but if I had to guess it would be at least 'hard'.
FUCK
How is the coding and system design rounds ??
At least for senior positions, they do two day interviews with four hours each day. Mix of everything.. programming, design, theory, etc. More intense than vast majority of interviews I've been on, even Facebook.

I am starting to think Chinese interviewers currently fail non-Chinese candidates on purpose.
it’s a jobs portal. how hard do you expect it to be? the technology is not their core business. if you have a pulse it shouldn’t be a problem
In my experience it was similar to Amazon and Microsoft, if a bit longer. Easier than Google. Harder than most. Would you be this dismissive about Netflix or Airbnb?
Uber just runs a taxi dispatching service. I'm sure their engineers suck too, eh?
