Affirm is small but disruptive. If they succeed they will be pretty well regarded. Remember how FANGS were perceived when they were as small as affirm?
Affirm has no late fees or other fees (the only way we make money is interest) so we have no incentive to offer loans to people who won't pay us back. It's not for everyone, but a lot of people get value out of smoothing a mattress, car repair, or even jewelry purchase over the course of several months.
FANGS don’t make money by offering the loans, but by incessantly advertising the products to the people you describe in the first place
Tech is very bad here. We have more of a product than Facebook or google(it were only considered ads as their Product) though. But “level” I would say much worse.
